I have always bought Calphalon cookware & utensils in the past & will continue to.I was amazed how well the box was packaged - I don't see how they could ever be damaged during shipment! I did notice that I didn't need to use as high of heat as other pans & pots - hamburgers stuck to the pan & discouraged me. Then I figured it out... I used Barkeepers Friend to clean out the pan & it cleaned with hardly any effort! Then a simple soap solution. So easy to clean I would avoid putting these into the dishwasher to protect against any discoloring. When I found a review on the America's Test Kitchen website about this set it sealed the deal. This was one of their top recommendations and now I can say they are correct. This set really delivers, especially for the price. The standard in stainless steel is 18/10. Add to that is the tri-ply lining which makes it much more difficult to score or burn food while cooking. The selection of sizes included makes this the perfect basic set. She's so happy with it she has puchased several speciality (Calphanon stainless steel tri-ply) pans to go with it. She uses the recommended cleaner, Bar Keepers Friend on them and says cleaning is easy and the set still looks like it's new. |
